Charles Dipierro is currently serving as Commissioner and Chairman of Fire District 1 and is running for mayor in the 2015 primary election. A native of Monroe Township where his family has lived for almost 100 years, Charles was educated in the Monroe Township public schools and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Stockton University. A small business owner for over 35 years, Charles started out in construction, eventually opening his first real estate brokerage in 2000 and his second in 2007. Both locations are currently thriving and located in Monroe Township.
Charles spent ten years as Vice Chairman on the Economic Development Commission, whose primary goal was to attract other local businesses and to encourage the expansion of existing businesses for economic growth, as well as to reduce the tax burden of the Monroe Township residents. While Charles has paved many of the golf paths in our adult communities, he has also built many of Monroe Twp.'s municipal and recreational spaces, which include the 9/11 memorial in Memorial Park, the food pantry, and the award-winning baseball fields in James-Monroe Park.
Charles and his wife Beth have been married for 30 years. They have two children. Jonathan, 26, is a graduate of NYIT and works as a film editor. Lauren, 23, is a graduate of Rider University and works as a Special Needs teacher at Applegarth Elementary School in Monroe Twp. Charles' father, also named Charles Dipierro, was a lifelong Monroe Twp. resident and WWII veteran, while Charles' mother, Sandra Dipierro, worked for Monroe Township's Board of Education until retirement.
